BURKINA FASO

Rural Heatlh Project

The Blue Lantern Foundation is delighted to be working with the Kaïcedra association and support the development of a rural health project in Burkina Faso!

Maternal and infant mortality rates are very high, mainly due to malnutrition and lack of care.

The project, which will run for 3 years from July 2023, involves providing assistance, including through teams on the ground, to the communes surrounding the town of Irim, a population of almost 60,000 villagers.

The current health center will be renovated and will offer a number of programs, including a mutual health insurance scheme, the fight against child malnutrition, information on reproductive health, the prevention and treatment of wounds, hygiene and, above all, raising the population's awareness of these issues.
