Empowering Youth in Bolivia

In close partnership with The Kantuta Association, we work with a dedicated team involved in the reality faced by Bolivian children, empowering them to achieve autonomy, dignity and mastery of their personal destiny.

Our main activities take place in the Kantuta Centre situated in La-Palca, Yotala. Kantuta Centre is a home to children, teenagers and young orphans, who have been mistreated, abandoned and in danger. They receive suitable care and a personal follow-up from the on-the-spot team.

Youth participants also receive full training that is intended to protect them from the dangers that they may face, as well as to assist them in becoming active players in the socio-economic development of their region which is their ultimate goal. Irrespective of age, social condition and sex, and by virtue of personal dignity and fundamental equality the child/adolescent will personally attempt to be responsible for improving his/her material conditions, as well as his/her moral progress and spiritual development, while enjoying life just as every human being is entitled to do. In addition, to compulsory education and technical training, the beneficiaries have room for free expression of their creativity by participating in sports, music, arts, culture and other activities that teach them values that will help them to become fully fledged members of society.
