MADAGASCAR

The Blue Lantern Foundation is pleased to collaborate with Nouvelle Planète (www.nouvelle-planete.ch) to support an education program in rural Madagascar.

In the highland communes of Ambatomanjaka, Ambatomena and Ambohidranandriana, access to schooling remains extremely limited: isolated villages, no roads, no electricity, and very low enrollment rates.

The project aims to strengthen primary education across Ampanataovana village by building and equipping classrooms, supporting teachers, improving hygiene and water access in schools, and raising awareness among families. It also includes school gardens and canteen initiatives to improve children’s nutrition.

By working closely with local communities, the program helps increase school attendance, improve learning conditions, and offer new perspectives to thousands of children.
